Birding 101
Students will learn the skills used by ornithologists for bird identification in a classroom setting. These skills will be designed to be helpful in all settings, but especially in our community. The course also includes field trips to prime birding locations, to view and study birds. Led by local wildlife photographer, Betty Boehm.
Betty Boehm

An avid birder and photographer, Betty enjoys the public land western Wyoming has to
offer. She has taken numerous classes and workshops on birds of the Greater
Yellowstone Area along with staying in touch with the Wyoming bird community via
social media. Her free time is spent hiking with binoculars and camera, observing birds
in their natural environment. She enjoys a good discussion about birds and also helping
others identify the birds around us. She has a growing life list of approximately 170 bird
species for Sublette County at this time and is aware of numerous, local, birding
hotspots. Come join her for a number of lecture classes and field trips to learn about
and discuss our local birds.
