Students will learn the skills used by ornithologists for bird identification in a classroom setting. These skills will be designed to be helpful in all settings, but especially in our community. The course also includes field trips to prime birding locations, to view and study birds. Led by local wildlife photographer, Betty Boehm.

You’ll prepare a classic Greek menu featuring hearty Pastitsio, flaky Spanakopita, and sweet, honey-drenched Loukoumades, all paired with traditional Greek coffee. Along the way, you’ll learn about Greek cooking techniques, ingredients, and the cultural traditions behind these beloved dishes. The class is led by George Vlastos, who has deep roots in Greece and is of Greek descent, bringing personal stories and cultural insight that make the experience both authentic and engaging.
