Summer Take FlightAdult EnrichmentThink you have the Right Stuff? If so, then Take Flight is the class for you. We’ll cover the aviation theory and flight maneuvers you would need to know if you were a Student Pilot preparing for your first solo flight. Topics include basic aerodynamics, aviation weather, flight maneuvers and FAA rules and regulations for that solo flight. All of this training will be entered in your personal logbook to count as ground school training towards your FAA Written Exam. On the flight simulator, you’ll practice take-offs and landings and the basic maneuvers that you’d need to know to be able to take that first flight by yourself. For the last class, we’ll have a couple of professional pilots come in to see if you can fly the manueuvers for a real solo and “Sign you off” for your “Solo”. They’ll discuss careers and opportunities available in aviation. The class won’t qualify you fly a real aircraft, but, when you decide to take lessons, you’ll know what to expect. If you’ve ever wondered if you have the Right Stuff, come join us.This class is for 6th Grad and Above.Adult Summer 2026 -

Evening PotteryAdult EnrichmentYou likely know Cristy from her years teaching at the elementary school. Cristy has been working and teaching in this community since the early '90s, and she's excited to offer two clay exploration classes through BOCES this fall, one Tuesday afternoons and one Tuesday evenings for six weeks. Each class will open with an inspirational look at a contemporary or historic ceramicist to get those creative juices flowing, then we will jump right into the making of the day.
